Listen. Really listen. Look at facts. Put aside your partisanship and think.
Gov. Romney is denouncing our president for not turning the country around in four years. The Governor's solution is a plan that will take 8 - 10 years to implement.
When you think to yourself that there should be no "hand outs" because you made your way in the world on your own:
Did you go to public school?
Do you go to work on roads constructed by public money?
Do you use public transportation?
I could go on about this one, but the point is we are a people who have always helped each other out. Now we have a change in our medical care that is a step towards that. Do you really want the Republican ticket to come in and undermine a change that's doing good? Romney is a man who put virtually the same program in place in Massachusetts. But to further his political career he's willing to throw that accomplishment under the bus. Listen to him. This is neither an honest or consistent man. That's a fact where this issue is concerned.
This is a Republican ticket that posits rape as a crime to be lived with and accepted to justify their personal views on abortion. Listen to what these men and their supporters are saying. You don't want government getting into your lives... let's start with keeping government out of the lives of rape victims.
Obama inherited an economy that was in free fall. He has managed to undo some of what the former administration has done. Jobs are coming back. The housing market is reviving. And the auto industry is thriving. These are facts.
If you have a daughter, the mindset of the Romney/Ryan ticket is that equal pay for a woman in the workplace is not a priority. I don't even need to elaborate on that one.
Romney's rhetoric has turned into simple propaganda. What he promised to his constituents six months ago is not what he's promising now. What's worse, is he's making promises the same way he made his tax returns public. Just enough to look good and keep the critics at bay.
That's a mindset. Whatever his policies are, the fact that he changed his platform to seem to be more moderate, smacks of a man who is not ready to tell the truth. You should vote for a man who's not afraid of the truth.
If you're not part of the richest households in America, Mitt Romney will cost you freedoms and hit your bank account hard. He does not know how to create jobs. He knows how to buy companies and bury them if they don't make enough profit. I can't recall him ever citing specifics about jobs he's created. Have you? Let me know. I'll listen.
Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan are running on a vague platform of nationalism held up by generating fear.
Tell me the positive points he's touting. Specific positive things that he will enact to make life better. I'll listen. But I doubt you can tell me, because he hasn't offered specific details to the American public.
Finally, derailing a president that has taken on the worst economy since the Great Depression makes no sense. We are better off. We'll continue to get better with President Obama in office. The trend is there. Give the momentum a chance.
A vote for Romney is a vote for the rich who are afraid of losing their money.
A vote for President Obama is a vote for a man who not only loves his country, but the people... all the people who live, work and love in it.
Yup, I put this out there. Bring it on. Or better yet, just vote for President Obama. It's good for you.
